A little while ago, I signed an online petition geared at trying to get Brita to create a recycling program for used filters. Brita just announced that they are initiating that program now. You can drop your used filters off at select Whole Foods stores or mail them in. The entire filter will be recycled. There are details available at Brita’s website.
